Mega Twilight Lynk

It’s taken a little longer than I expected, but all that hard work has finally paid off… I remember long ago I said to all of you, “When you turn on Twilight Lynk and see the graphics, you will say, ‘Wow.’”… oh wait, I never said that…

Welcome to Mega Twilight Lynk!

I guess I should spend a little time explaining a few things about this design to the folks in the community to help them adjust considering the Super Twilight Lynk design was on the site for a little over a year.

Much of the layout for the site remains the same, but there have been a few small, but very useful changes… for example the drop-down menu system at the very top has links to practically every useful location to manage your account and view some key areas of the site.

Members can now quote/reply to posts from the blog entry page as well as from the related forum thread. Also, I’ve enabled the [img] tag in signatures… remember the signature image limits are 600×150… and since I’ve enabled those tags for the signatures, that means that I’ll be getting rid of the auto-include Xbox Live card… you guys will have to do that yourselves now.

I’ve tried to make the site as animated as possible so it doesn’t feel too flat and lifeless. Oh, and one of the other changes to the site is the darker text… I did this because the new site design is MUCH darker than the previous one and having pure white text was overwhelming… If your monitor is set correctly then you should be able to view the site comfortably still… but a word of warning… if you’ve been viewing Twilight Lynk for awhile and then tab over to a site that has a white or very bright background… prepare to be blinded lol.

Anyway, I think I’ve pretty much covered it… oh, yeah, one more thing… there’s still a few small things I need to do with the forum part of the site… and there’s plenty of debugging to do. If you guys find anything I need to fix, let me know in the Feedback forum… but in the meantime, leave your comments about the site redesign in here. I’d like to hear what you guys have to say about it.

Anyway, enjoy!

*looks around* pretty quiet in here... so I guess I should do something to attract more comments... like this Xbox Live Leaderboard!!

Everyone who has listed their Xbox Live Gamertag on the forum is now on our very own Leaderboard which is fully featured... seriously, it has everything *nods*... also for future reference, the XBL leaderboards can be found in the Community drop-down...

I found it randomly when I was searching for other vB mods... to be honest, I'd like there to be a PSN version of this but I can't seem to find one.
That leaderboard is pretty bitchin', I must admit.

Oh, and nice work on the design or whatever. <.<
Yeah the leaderboard is baller. Surprised to see that many people ahead of me. As long as I'm ahead of Lynk, I'm happy though.
and i am the top just proves my lack of real lifeness
I like new design, don't give two shits about XBL leaderboard for obvious reasons
Ditto, Mav
Like I said, I'd really love there to be a PSN version of it to install onto the forum... but alas... no PSN love...
I'm somewhat surprised I'm on the list, since I never owned a Xbox. But then I'm only there because the way Fallout 3 is for the PC. Same thing, different system.
The more the merrier... I like the whole unified network aspect of Xbox/Windows Live.
Lol as long as I'm ahead of Lynk also I'm wrapped. Love how my score is 16000 exactly lol.
Makes no difference to me considering I end up playing games on other consoles a lot as well.
Đarksteel needs to post moar
Ya'll need to post moar
I'm noticing the "twilight lynk" banner moves a pixel to the left on mouse over, but it only happens in webkit based browsers, ie, chrome/chromium, not in firefox. :/
Jeff's noticed that too... but on my Chrome it doesn't do that for some reason... can you send me some screenshots through private message or msn so i can see... i have no idea why that would be happening :\
Oh yeah, just updating people about that Chrome issue, original mav mentioned... it seems that it's a problem with Chrome 4.5 and earlier. Chrome 5.0 is out and has been for quite awhile, I suggest people update to the newer version of Chrome
I suspected so, the bug was actually kinda weird, I tried to make a recording but then the bug didn't show up, and when I gave up it came back.

though, I'm using Chromium 5.0 (Chromium is the opensource project behind Chrome) but a beta build, I didn't check out any of the latest snapshots yet.
I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what it could be on my end... but everything is coded perfectly on my end so yeah... definitely a Chrome/Chromium thing. Sucks too because an increasing number of people are starting to use Chrome and I'd rather it not have these kinds of issues.

I spent days optimising this site to run perfectly with IE, I don't want to have to go through that same bullshit with other browsers
