As promised in the Game Spotlight for Dead Space 2, let’s have a look at one of the two media releases dealing with the events leading up to the start of Dead Space 2.

The first Dead Space animation, titled Dead Space: Downfall, was one of those “it’s so bad it’s actually good” situations, though I’m still undecided as to how I should take Dead Space: Aftermath since, overall, it’s not really as bad as Downfall.

Let’s take a trip back to Aegis VII…

Time for another Animation Spotlight, and like the previous one, I’ll be focusing on another animation that’s related to a game.

Valkyria Chronicles, or Senjou no Valkyria (Battlefield Valkyria) if you prefer, is one of my favourite new game series of this generation and has already spawned sequel games as well as two manga and an anime TV series of the same name. I absolutely loved the first game and was naturally excited when they announced the anime quite awhile back… though, to be honest when I started watching the anime when it was initially being released, I kind of gave up on it and stopped just before the half way mark.

But, I did give the Valkyria Chronicles anime another chance and have finally watched the entire series…

UPDATE: Disregard the next paragraph. Changed the “Anime Spotlight” category to “Animation Spotlight”… hooray.

Okay, firstly, I know very well that this is NOT an anime, but I’m being extremely lazy and I don’t want to make a new category just for this… in any case, no matter what country of origin it is, the Koreans always get involved anyway, plus this is a lot more violent than most other US origin animated features… so, whatever…

To sum it all up, this is a terrible movie that no one other than die-hard fans of Dead Space should watch out of curiosity but are better off not watching in the first place and should just pretend like it was never made… like I’m sure a lot of people over at Visceral Games have been doing for quite some time now… And that about sums it up, thank you for reading, good night…

This shit’s getting weirder by the second!

To be perfectly honest, I haven’t been doing much gaming lately… instead I’ve been having a HUGE (HUEG LIEK XBOX!) anime marathon, I decided to re-watch one of my favourite anime straight from its first episode all the way to the latest episode that’s been released in Japan… episode 397. I have been doing this for a few weeks now and all I can really say is FUCK YEAH!! ONE PIECE!!

Okay, maybe I can say a little more than just that lol. How about I share with some of you who haven’t really bothered to look into One Piece or haven’t realised its awesomeness just why it’s such a great anime and why it’s one of my absolute favourites…
