Which aritist or genre do you lose yourself when your listening to music?

Me I have one track by one aritst that I can't get out of my head Nowhere Fast recorded by Fire inc in the year 1984, I was one years out when this track was recorded.

OtherwiseI listen to Meatloaf most of the time.....

Hard to say since I don't confine myself to just one particular genre or artist (as you can probably see from my last.fm profile, my tastes range from John Williams to Norwegian Black Metal.)

At the moment though, I've been listening to a lot of Jimmy Eat World, particularly the songs "Pain" YouTube - Jimmy Eat World "Pain" and "The Middle" YouTube - jimmy eat world the middle

^Gotta love the 90's. I'll list some fave songs as well, they just never seem to get old for me.

YouTube - staind-outside

YouTube - The Von Bondies-C'mon C'mon(lyrics)

YouTube - Killswitch Engage - Element Of One

YouTube - Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Philadelphia

YouTube - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue

I could probably list some more, but those are the ones that I can think of right now.

I sometimes get misty eyed when listening to certan music from various Macross series... I know, I know XD But I can't help it. I'm very fond of Macross.

The song that makes me the most misty eyed is Tenshi no Enogu (the Flashback 2012 version) cause it's the list time we get to see Hikaru, Misa and Minmay.

(These two vids aren't the entire video of Flashback 2012, just the parts with Tenshi no Enogu in it which is at the start and end.)

YouTube - Macross Flash Back 2012 - Part 1

YouTube - Macross Flash Back 2012 - Part 2

*wipes away tears*... (I seriously get teary when I watch Flashback 2012...)

I hear you man, Macross certainly made an impact on me, even for its soundtrack alone. The funny thing is how over the years my opinion on the franchise changed. I used to like Macross Plus the most, but over time, the old Macross grew on me more because of its modest presentation.

I have some albums from Minmay's voice actress, Mari Iijima, and I think she does a good job as a performer.

Of course, I also own the complete macross soundtrack as well (3 Disks), which is always nice too.

Cinderella was a nice song as well, though Tenshi no Enogu is truly her best.

Regarding Macross music, I get a little teary-eyed when I listen to
"Do You Remember Love?" being sung by Minmay.

Also, am I the only one who is hypnotized into falling asleep when Sharon
Apple's song, "Torch Song" is playing?
Macross Plus all the way!

The two big ones for me are Phish (a "jam" band from the Northeastern US) and a now-defunct band called HUM...HUM's last album, Downward Is Heavenward still ranks as my #1 favorite album of all time, and I strongly doubt that will ever change, despite more than ten years passing between its original release and now.

I saw Phish live 33 times and I have heard well over 300 of their live shows...though I take long breaks from listening to them, I don't think I've listened to any other band even half as much. And it's *really* easy to lose yourself (myself?) in a live show.

Yeah, I like all the bleach opening themes real well too. Favorite is probably After Dark by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

Sometimes I like to put my sound system on loud(er) and play Kugutsuuta aratayo ni kamutsudo hite from Ghost in the Shell 2 Innocence and The Chariot from RahXephon.

Folks who have those two songs will know why.
