Viewing marathons

#1 | 23 October 2008, 4:04 AMOld
I've been going through my anime series lately in a huge marathon while working on upgrading Twilight Lynk. Of course, I didn't watch them all together with no break. I've been doing other stuff too, but I have been watching entire 26 episode series all at once. I've already gone through...

Azumanga Daioh
Chobits
Midori no Hibi
Samurai Champloo
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex (both seasons)

I can't decide what I'll go onto next, but I'm going to be selling off all of my anime soon so I thought I may as well make one last use of them before I do.

So, what kinda viewing marathons have you guys done?

Before the recent season started this fall I watched all seasons 1-4 of House M.D. to get myself stoked on the new season starting, btw last nights episode was especially good if you know what I mean. I've also frequently watched box sets of Family Guy, and right now I'm actually working my way through the Bond movies in anticipation of Quantum of Solace, I just finished watching You Only Live Twice last night.

I've done that as well. I tried to do a LotR extended edition marathon but in the end I just fell asleep.

The last marathon where I watched an entire series without taking a break was "Kurenai" though it was only 12 episodes. I seem to be watching marathons of animes quite late these days like around 2-5am XD.

I remember watching One Piece all the way up to Water 9 arc. With breaks, but I watched the series straight through with a couple of breaks from other series, but that was over 200 plus episodes in a two week span. That was quite crazy.

I don't remember the last series I began and watched mass watch. I've done it plenty of times though with anime and American TV shows, such as Prison Break.

That is still on my to-do list. My copy of Fellowship is not extended, and fullscreen. :/ Need to fix that eventually.

I've never gotten all the way through it. I typically get 3 movies in and start falling asleep, then give up and pick up the next day where I left off.

I've marathoned Midori no Hibi, Rozen Maiden (one season or the other, not both), Elfen Lied and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya...I just don't have the attention span most of the time to get past about 14 episodes of attention time before crapping out or wanting to do something else.

I watched through all of Gundam Wing once. Yeah, now that I've got the series memorized no need to do that again. Come to think it, I've marathoned just about every Gundam Series(except ZZ which I can't seem to get into, though Puru is quite fun).

I marathoned LOTR extended! 12 hours of "OMG WHY DID I JUST DO THAT!??"

I also marathoned through 3 seasons of Voyager. With college I can't marathon much, but I need to do it with the rest of Voyager, Gundam 00, Mushishi, and *sigh* so much to watch....
So, have you heard?
