Terminator Salvation is coming out next summer. According to
Wikipedia, it was announced that Bruce Wayne, (erm, excuse me,
Christian Bale lol XD) is going to be playing John Connor while
the prototype T-800 will be played by a new Austrian bodybuilder
named Roland Kickinger. An interest choice if you ask me. Although,
to me, the idea of a Terminator film without Arnold Schwarzenegger is like
a Macross series/movie without Valkyries and music. But, when this comes
out, I'll go see it just to see some machines get blown up.

What are your thoughts?

Terminator Salvation
Macross Plus all the way!

I'm sorta excited, but being somewhat of a hardcore Terminator fan, I wish they'd just stopped making movies after T2.

I'm okay with them releasing more Terminator movies because if you don't like the new ones, you can easily pretend they don't exist and simply focus on T1 and 2. With that in mind, they can go nuts with the newer movies all they want.

Did pretending they don't exist work with the Star Wars Prequels?

For some people, yeah. But I don't mind the Star Wars prequels... the Original Trilogy is just as lame, the difference is it was made before our time so it's "classic lameness"...

I dunno, I don't really want to see a "solution" to the human-robot war. Lets face it, the machines are pretty much better in just about every way shape and form, the probability than people could actually defeat them is really really low. REALLY low.

So, to be honest, I'm not looking forward to it. I'm sure they'll discover the "fatal flaw" in the machines, or like the Matrix, make peace with Skynet. puhleez.
About a maid I'll sing a song,
who didn't have her family long.
Not only did she do them wrong,
she did every one of them in.
So, have you heard?

Well we've known the solution since T2, the humans win.

The Original SW trilogy was lame? I'm sorry, but I don't follow...I'm not
sure what you mean by lame...

Edit: No, I'm not a Star Wars fanboy by asking, I'm just curious what Lynk means by "lame".

*puts the Original Trilogy and the Prequel Trilogy side by side*

They're the same deal. The difference is what people expect in the generations those movies were made. Nowadays people expect gritty and real and "hardcore" stuff. What we got with the Prequel Trilogy was exactly the same was what we got with the Original Trilogy. The difference is that it was done with newer technology and in a time where movies are expected to be a certain way and in turn, movie goers tastes are different.

The fact that people openly put the Original Trilogy above the Prequel Trilogy has a lot to do with the fact that the Original Trilogy is old. It has had the time to age and is now seen as a classic. This has an effect on anything that comes after it because anything that comes after the classic will never be able to measure up to something that's put up so high.

The same goes for Terminator. The newer movies will most likely be pretty good, but that doesn't mean people will say it's better than the first two.

I mean come on, who here likes Die Hard 4 over the first Die Hard?

it was another movie with that character getting another shot. the story was interesting none the less.

each movie does have him going into his anger rants...

(about Star Wars) Ah ok, I see.

Die Hard 4 was good. I can't said anything about the original Die Hard
because I haven't seen it.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of new machines will appear
in Terminator Salvation. I heard something about a submarine robot.

Hey, I'm just getting around to seeing some classic action movies. Heck,
I only saw the original Terminator, T2, and Aliens recently.
