I thought I might actually post something of intrest rather then a one hit wonder, So since last weekend I been trying to decide what topic I could post about here on a GAMERS forum. I'm not much of a console owner, the latest console I own is a PS

But I brought a game controller over the weekend for my PC and it got me thinking on how since those early console we hand in the 80's and how we change playing.
Most players now have wireless controllers that do much more, look at Nintendo latest the
Wii Remote and
Nanchuk, How much we come along from a GAME PADDLE on the
Atari 2600. I remember using this as a Kid on a friends game system, so long ago I can't remember what it was we were playing.......
Paddle this...
My first console was a Sega Master system and that had a simple Gamepad as they where know back then. One D-pad and two buttons where what we where given and that was good enough for those games we played in out youth. All I remember was playing Afterburner and after several levels flying where my thumbs and fingers going numb due to badly designed rectangle the pad was designed around.
An Example of a Pre Ergonomics
The Nintendo system NES had offered some intresting extras as controllers, such as the good old fashion light gun called the
NES Zapper that let you go duck hunting, I wish the Wii console had a new veison of this game then maybe with a shotgun style of Controller for the wii remote, XP I might actually buy the console just for the that.
Zapped
One other of the NES must famous controllers, but somewhat derailed controller was the
Power Glove. I think the only reason it gain a somewhat cult status was due to the film
The Wizard, where it was quoted as
"I love the Power Glove. It's so bad"
