Came across this.

I totally agree with number three. Total disappointment.

I was pretty disappointed with Guild Wars and Star Wars Galaxies.

*edit*

These are obviously not this year's games.

A lot of those games I have not played or only played them very little but I don't think it's a very good list. I did hear Spore was quite disappointing so I guess that is ok at #1. I suppose a lot of it is personal opinion but I have played enough of Prince of Persia to not be disappointed by it. I suppose Force Unleashed was pretty disappointing, but only if you expected too much from it, I thought for 360/PS3 the gameplay was really fun and it had a great story, it just wasn't long enough.

Guess I don't know what I'd put on the list to replace some of those games as I did not get to play a lot of 2008 games but from what I have played and heard a lot of those games are still very good, they just didn't live up to the hype. I'm disappointed with Wrath of the Lich King so far myself. >_>

I was pretty impressed, actually. If you compare with The Burning Crusade anyway. The problem is, It's just more of the same.

There's a sense of nostalgia with WotLK because I've played Warcraft III.

Well I guess that's what I mean, I was hoping it would be new stuff but it's all the same quests and grinding in a different area and different quest text. I do like the area better since I played WCIII as well, it's more classic Warcraft than TBC was, but I still can't really get into it.

Exactly. I just dinged 74, I'll have to see if I have enough motivation to level to 80.

For my Too Human and Force Unleashed were two of the most disappointing games This Year.

They could have been so much more.

I can't say any game I played released this year disappointed me.

MGS4 disappointed me for being that short, but the game was quite enjoyable nonetheless. I won't say it disappointed me to point of disgust.

A lot of games disappoint me for being too damn short. It seems quite a lot of games in this generation are that way.

I would say the majority of games are too short this generation, and it's unfortunately setting a new (lower) standard for what is acceptable.

Some games try to make up for it with a huge multiplayer thing, but that's not good enough dammit.

The cost to make some of the games plays a part though right? >_>

Yeah, they spend all their money trying to make it like a movie and then they forget they're making a game.

The most disappointing thing in gaming this year for me has been that my PS2 of 7-8 years decided to stop reading discs, literally the day I got Persona 4 in the mail.

Hey mav, if you're comfortable with taking your PS2 apart, check out this link: PS2 laser adjustment I did this when my PS2 stopped reading discs and it's worked perfectly since then.

As for my biggest disappointment this year... Fable II. I did enjoy it, but it was way too short and just seems like half of a game was released so they could sell me the rest of it later as DLC.
