Seems like some people are experiencing some bugs with Firefox 3 like the web browsing/scrolling speed is quite slow. I thought I had that problem too this morning when my net browsing speed was very slow until I realized that my net connection was still capped at 64kbps. Just had to restart my modem and the lag issue was solved since I'm into a new billing period lol. The pages are loading much faster but only after I did a little tweak with it.

I did a little search on firefox 3's slow scrolling problem and came across a thread on another forum that might explain why high resolution images are loading slower than firefox 2.

So it appears to be that firefox 3's xrenderer may have some issues with NVIDIA drivers and other graphics card that might be causing the slow loading. |

I've also run across a problem where ff3 ends up stalling because of CPU usage... I have no idea why it's happening but it only occurs after I've had it open for awhile and have gone through a million tabs (which have been closed)... *kicks* I think I prefer FF2's problem of taking up huge amounts of RAM cause with that all you have to do is close it and reopen it and everything is back to normal. Doing the same thing for ff3 with this CPU usage problem

that problem with nVidia seems specific to Linux, graphic drivers for Linux from ANY vendor are crap, still weird though, nVidia's drivers have the reputation of being far better than ATI's on Linux (that might change since AMD bought ATI)

Overall so far I haven't been impressed with ff3, everything seems to load slower for me and I've also noticed my cookies not being saved when I close ff, though that could be a setting that I just haven't looked in to yet. Also I noticed my tor proxy doesn't work as well.

I don't think so, the only Linux bastard here is me, and firefox works nicely, though is not my preferred browser (so I won't remember ff2 much) and I have a caching proxy (so the places I usually visit always load fast)
anyways major releases of open source software always have these problems, they behave poorly until some bugs are squashed. anyways, easter eggs! Russell's Cyber Journal » Firefox 3.0 Easter Eggs |

Yeah the cookies are what is annoying me the most. Most of the websites I visit have some sort of login and with ff2 my login would be saved every time I loaded the website but now I have to relogin every time I load ff3 and even sometimes when I don't close ff3 it will still log me out after I'm away for a bit. I didn't see any settings to disable this.

Try turning off cookies completely then turning them back on again XD I have all cookies blocked and just have certain sites as allowed in the exceptions list thing and it works fine
![]() I use the Kempelton theme now because i think it looks better than the default ![]() My Dad got a new laptop the other day and my Mum put Firefox 3 on it quite soon after it got setup XD |
