vs.

Another poll inspired by a disagreement between Lynk and I Which action adventure game protagonist do you think is best: Lara Croft, the beautiful but perhaps overrated tomb raider we all know and love (to look at), or Nate Drake, the new guy on the action adventure block?

For me, I think you all know who I picked I have grown to like the TR series of games since Crystal Dynamics took the series over with TR Legend. I had played a couple of the older games for psone and PC but never really got into them, but I like the direction the series has been going. As for Uncharted, I have played it but not extensively and it is definitely a good game, I just think Lara is better. ;D

I vote for Drake, the last TR game I played was...I think Anniversary, while it was a good game, Uncharted is superior. The "hawtness" factor would normally go to Lara, but since you can turn Drake into Elena Fisher via bonus options, that point becomes moot, therefore Drake wins.

Drake's a champ...

While Lara does flips off of animals heads and crazy acrobatic shit, Drake, while capable, looks like he is barely able to do all the stunts he does.

Plus the game mechanics for Uncharted are excellent... you can't say the same for the Tomb Raider series.

As for hotness factor... Psh @ Lara.

Samus > Lara

by a million billion kilometres.

EDIT: I guess what really makes Drake superior for me is that he's fallable but barely makes it through the adventure while Lara is more "I can do anything just because"...

While I have to agree that Uncharted is better than the last five Tomb Raider games, and that the movies have trivialized Lara Croft's capabilities as a tomb raider, I just can't say no to her. As a kid, I played the first two Tomb Raider games, and they were just awesome. The games starting from the third one started to suck, but I don't care.

As for her hotness, I remembered when I first started high school, and my cousin gave me a picture of Lara Croft. Needless to say, she was topless. Anyway, I showed it to this guy at school, and from then on, for that whole semester, whenever he saw me, he would ask to see the picture. I don't know where its gone now.

Glad to see you voted for her, but have you played the most recent 3 TR games? I suppose one could say Uncharted is better than all of the games in the series if they liked it that much, but the newest Tomb Raider games by Crystal Dynamic are by far the best in the series.

Yeah, I've played most of them, but most of the time, I seem to lose interest halfway through the game. Except for the latest one, Underworld, I lost interest in that after about and hour and a half.

Ah, personally I think Underworld is the best to date, it has managed to keep my interest throughout, pretty sure I'm fairly close to the end. Definitely has its technical issues (today Lara completely disappeared, and when she reappeared her ponytail and breasts were gone o.O) but I can overlook those most of them time since it is still an enjoyable game.

Don't worry, when I was invisible I fell off a cliff and when I respawned they were back. *sigh of relief*
