I'm about to get 12 months gold membership for Xbov Live... recommend me some good multiplayer games.

Right now the only two games that I have with online multiplayer are Gears of War and Halo 3.

So, folks... what other games are there that are worth the effort?

CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE

BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY

CoD4 is freaking addicting...proceed with caution. or you'll be like 'one more game...' and before you know it, the sun will be up...

Battlefield: Bad Company is huge, also addicting once you get into it, i just don't like some of the maps in it...and there's lag in the new ones, which kinda ruins it. CoD4 is definitely worth every penny though. hell, get them both. bbc is $30 and i think cod4 is still $60. world at war doesn't compare to cod4.

i hear left 4 dead is also a good one.

another one i would suggest, but not recommend if it was more than $20, is Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. it has tons of game modes, but the matchmaking service downright sucks unless you're the host, or are playing with a group of people you know. there are dozens of maps to choose from, there is some really good co-op in it as well.

for non-fps....hmm i dunno, haven't played many non-fps mp games on the 360. maybe soul calibur 4?

lol yep. xbox live arcade has a bunch, but if you're looking for graphics and such...well, there's always Madden, FIFA, etc. maybe burnout.

madden is definitely fun. i was in a tournament at my walmart...i didn't win, but had a good time playing it. my friend won, pissed this one kid off so bad cause he went and rented it the night before, and well when ti was their turn to play, my friend put his mode on easy, the other guy didn't touch his...and the game started...i just started laughing, it was bad when he got owned. i thought a fight was gonna break out. XD oh and the kicker is, my friend never plays xbox, much less a madden game. he won a $50 gift card lol

Madden?...

R15... please look at what is written next to "Location" in my profile and say it out loud, slowly if you need to.

And I don't really care about graphics or visuals or whatever you wanna call what games look like.

EDIT: I'm not into sports games to begin with.

I have to say... I wasn't expecting this thread to be so unhelpful... but I'm not surprised since the majority of online games for the Xbox series are shootan gaems..

it would help me to help you if you'd say what genre you're looking at, there aren't many other than sports and shooting that are multiplayer.

Forza 2, Soul Calibur IV, Scene It, EndWar, Ace Combat 6

I'm looking at everything... Soul Calibur 4 is something I want, but I'm not sure if I want it for the 360 or PS3.

And I realise that there aren't many other non shooter live games around... that's what's so sad... I also know there are a hell of a lot more people who have a 360 on here and so far you and Leon (and Chim) are the only ones who have replied which is extremely disappointing.

I can't think of a whole lot that hasn't already been named or is a shooter... Soulcalibur 4 is pretty good, the graphics are quite stellar. There's GTA IV, but you're not interested in that, dunno if I would be either. Lord of the Rings Conquest just came out but I heard it was not that good and basically just a total conversion of Battlefront 2. One game I think would be really fun just for multiplayer is Quantum of Solace, I loved Nightfire for the Xbox and my brother and I still play local multiplayer on it when we get the chance. But no way I'm paying nearly full price for that game.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe?

There's also Fable II. That game is pretty fun.

Soul Caliber 4 is a good multiplayer, and since the vader/yoda character's are downloadable now, it just depends on which console you want it for, Left 4 Dead is a fun game to play, Fable 2 is a good game but it takes a while to play.

I've also been going through the entire list of XBLA games and downloading the demo's. There are a lot of good potential multiplayer games there that aren't shooters.
