It's more likely than you think.

I haven't had a lot of co-op experience on XBL, I have only played 3-4 games of RE5demo with randoms all without mics, and they all died every time. Besides that all I have done is Halo and I haven't used the mic but I haven't had anyone excessively rude or anything yet.

One game that I really think is good to play online is Little Big Planet. Especially without a mic. I have only played it a few times but each time I was playing with one friend and we would play online with 2 randoms and it's really fun to change your sackboy's expression to convey messages, and also to just hit people around is really fun too. I'm guessing if they had a mic it would be more like "come on faggot quit fucking around" but without the mic they just smile or whatever and it just makes it really fun.

It'd be pretty awesome to play with Soulja Boy over Xbox Live.

Yea, I don't have a 360 so I can't really comment on Xbox Live, but as far as the PSN goes I've played a few different games online, BF:BC, SOCOM, LBP, Warhawk, Resistance 2. From my experiences with that, first of all barring SOCOM people hardly use mics in the other games, most obviously because a mic doesn't come with the PS3. That is good and bad, bad because it prevents mic use from being widely accepted, but at the same time it is sort of good, because that means that people need to go out and get a mic so it cuts back on the abusive people factor. Mic use is particularly good in SOCOM though, and I've played SOCOM since the original and it's always been that way.

Ive found that most of the Whiny little brats that you mentioned are typically in the big multiplayer games like Halo and Call of Duty.

Sometimes you can actually find some decent people, especially if your in a game that not everyone plays.

Never went on live with my 360--rarely used it anyways. So if I sound like I'm inexperienced on XBL's protocols, that's why.

Personally I might go on to purchase megaman 9.

Now, For my pals IRL who have XBL, several times having done nothing wrong but the other player send hell of trumped up complaints and backs out just before a countdown ends and a match starts on, say, Command and Conquer Red Alert. Everyone gets taken out of the match, and my homies got temporarily booted off. Not a permaban, just a temp boot-off.

...WTH?
I can assasinate someone for you, and that will cost you an arm and a leg, literally.
