So recently I've been telling myself I should skip this generation, but now I'm not sure. Even though I know at the core of the game it is going to be the same game we've been playing for 10+ years, there may be enough features to sway me over. One thing I think is really cool that I just heard about on a podcast is that if you're playing the game while others nearby are playing, the game will detect those players and sort of trade information. Similar to the feature that the 3DS will have. Has anyone else heard about this? Also, apparently one of the areas are different in the two versions. One will be a big city, and one will be more of a forest area or something.

While I guess it would be really cool to have that auto info trading thing, I live in a pretty low key town and I'd be hard pressed to find anybody else that plays Pokémon often enough for me to make use of that feature. As far as version differences go, there are actually a lot more than just different obtainable Pokémon this time around. Like you said, in Pokémon Black there is "Black City" and in White instead of that Black City there is "White Forest" and not only are they different areas entirely, but they also have different items for sale and such. Also various trainers you run across in B&W will have different teams and some will even battle you differently, i.e. (Triple Battle or Rotation Battle) depending on version. Also one of the cities that appears in both games, will look different depending on version and will also have a different gym leader depending on version, but they have the same team. You can read up more about it on Serebii.net, but be careful to avoid spoilers if you plan to play.

Personally I still don't know if I'll get it or not, it likely depends on what other games are out at that time and such, though knowing myself, I'll prolly end up getting it. Also just to throw this out there, with the prominence of WiFi trading and such it's become much easier to complete a Pokédex so people don't buy both versions as much, I think that was a side reason to adding these greater version differences this time around.

Ok, Black and White come out on March 6th in the US, who is getting it, I need to make up my mind on whether or not to get it. No point if I will not have people to challenge my supremacy.
