Oddities in TV shows and movies

Here's a concept

I'm watching GITS again, and I'm on episode 11 (i think)

the one where Togusa is heading to the institution of people (mostly kids featured in the episode) that have 'closed head syndrome', for an under cover art

when he is driving his car

the view goes to the 'shifter'
as the letters show below the actual shifter, it resembles an automatic transmission

yet

why the fuck did he shift!?

was he coasting down a hill or something to save gas?

WTH?

who else found odd things in anime that shouldnt make sense in this retrospect, not talking about giant mecha or anything, just, wtf like.

In GITS ep 25

Chief Aramaki gets picked up in the beginning of the episode

the car has the same license plate as his own personal car

Because kidnapping someone with their own crime is a more awesome version of the cool crime of robbery.

And isn't Togusa the one who's not a big fan of technology and still has the old 6-shot revolver?
About a maid I'll sing a song,
who didn't have her family long.
Not only did she do them wrong,
she did every one of them in.
So, have you heard?

the Mateba Autorevolver?

I want one.

Also, Vash the Stampede's revolver is like a 'break action' type of a Mateba

anywho, yeah he gets rid of it eventually...

I go with artwork that was just odd.

Imageshack - 29293468xokaerifail

Or, you can call it just plain bad. Keep up the good work, Asread.

Blizzard ripped off DBZ!!

a small music score mainly

notice in the episode (either ep 34 or 35) where Vegeta is confronted by gohan's tail and the artifical moon (this score happens on the english TV version score) that it is the SAME as the musical score of Starcraft/Broodwar when the auto launcher appears on your desktop!

After the Dutch consulate (refered by Kenshin as a Doctor) into duces his aide,
Kenshin doesn't have his scar on his face

Okay, I've got one a bit different...

Just now I was wondering why I haven't seen the iconic MGM Lion at the cinemas for a long time... so I turned to Wikipedia to find out which movies MGM has produced in 2009 and I found something startling...

Only 3 movies are listed for 2009 (The Pink Panther 2, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Fame), and all of them are co-productions with other studios. What the hell is going on with MGM these days?
