I think you know my solution for this, but it still sucks. Maybe they are right about them not selling well there, but don't you think with a little extra promotion they would at least sell enough to make it worth it? And because of fucking region locking people there will completely miss out on games.

I think there still may be a way of getting em... from what I hear, there is nothing stopping Australian Wii gamers from importing the UK versions of these games and playing them on their Australian Wii's.

Ah, I suppose that makes sense since it's still PAL. Still, it's silly you even have to resort to that.

See, I don't know why all games aren't region free like PS3 games, you'd think they wouldn't mind people buying games from another region, ridiculous.

Yeah, DS games are region free too which is how I was able to get Trauma Center: Under the Knife and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations... both of which don't have any Australian release for whatever stupid reason.

Plus, you've already heard about the whole region locking thing down here in Australia from me before.

Yeah I think region locking is fucking stupid. Part of why I wanted HD-DVD to win over blu-ray. Doesn't make sense to me that PS3 games are region-free but not blu-ray movies.

If PS3 had region free Bluray movies, I'd be able to get Macross Frontier and Macross Zero on bluray right now.

Well that's not the fault of the Blu-ray format really, the disc's themselves can be either region coded or not, so it's actually up to the company as to whether or not their movie/games are region coded, at least that is how I understand it.

Ah, well I didn't realize that, but I still know all HD DVDs would have been region free rather than some Blu-rays.

You know, now that you mention that, I've done some investigating and apparently the Macross Frontier Bluray discs are region free as well... interesting.
