Some of you are aware of the new stargate program comming onto our screens this Oct, have you been keeping up with the new comic-con trailers? Their a blast.....

This is going to be an intresting show and I will be keeping myself updated till it release onto the TV screen. Thankfully something to fill the big sci-fi hole left after BSG

I liked Stargate SG-1, loved Stargate Atlantis, but not I am interested in Stargate Universe at this point in time as it looks too similar to ST: Voyager

Actually from what I patched together from the trailers, I think it will be very different from ST Voyager or even Atlantis.... Wait and see Hadrian

I know that, it just looks too similar to Voyager and various other shows. I want to like this, I'm just having trouble getting into the hype.

Plus, I (and others in my crappy little country) will have to wait at least 18 months for it to be shown here, if it doesn't get released on DVD before then.

I see the truth that your saying, it a pain the ass here in the UK as well. It may only be a few days to a few weeks behind the Americans in showing episodes, but trying to keep away from the spoilers is a pain in the ass.

When I first heard the concept I wasn't all that thrilled, but I have to admit that actually seeing the trailer, it looks like it might be pretty good.

Time will tell.

EDIT: Oh, and they need to find the damn Furlings. It's about time we see what them little buggers look like.

Also, watching the trailers, it seems pretty 'meh' to me.

to be honest Ive seen a few things for SGU and frankly I think I'll wait and see what its like before I pass judgement.

(theres no way I'm going to get hyped up just because its a stargate series... hell the only thing that somewhat redeemed the stargate franchise in my eyes after the piss poor ending for SG1 was the final series of Atlantis)

I am a Stargate fan so i'll give SGU a shot. ALthough I wish SGA was still going...the coolest part of the trailer for me was seeing the old Goa'uld ships attacking the base.

One week, till it on the screen here in the UK..... Can't wait daamn it!...... I need my SG fix GOD DAMN IT!!!!

Okay, so I watched the series premier of SGU... it's a pretty standard start, I'm interested to see where it's gonna go.

That true.... I just wish they chose something else for the series music tracks, least one reminds me of BSG..... Pfff that going to give the SG1 loving trolls something to fight with....

Watched the third episode... ugh, so underwhelming... it's like they've pretty much decided "who cares, it has 'Stargate' in the title, the audience will watch whatever we show them"...
