Nintendo's Video Game Masterpiece - ABC News

So this is a very interesting comparison to make... not sure what to make of it really...

Having not seen Citizen Kane, and with no desire to, nor have I played the Prime Trilogy, I still find it an odd comparison.

Citizen Kane is the most overrated movie ever made.

Never seen Citizen Kane but when compared to video games, to me that means that it is so groundbreaking that we've never seen anything like it. I don't think Metroid Prime fits that bill.

i've only had one complaint so far with this. when i first launched MP1, it skips the intro screen and goes straight into the game. I loved the music from the intro screen, has the old feel from the other games but more modern.

I'm really very disappointed that Nintendo of Australia and Nintendo of Europe didn't do that little bit extra and get bring people that awesome steel case that the folks in the US got.... which is why I'm glad I bought myself a US copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy along with an Australian copy just so I could get that steel case

Also, before MPT was released down here, I heard that they had removed the voice over parts from the beginning and end of the game. I'm happy to hear that on my AU copy of the game that it's still got it. I know the US version of the game doesn't have it though... which I find strange...

I was talking about how Metroid Prime 2 Echoes is a much better game than people give it credit for in my entry, but here's an article on Siliconera that goes into more detail: Food For Thought: Metroid Prime 2 And Other M // Siliconera
