You thought I was gonna talk about the book or movies based off it? No, the reason I'm making this thread is because quite a number of my friends have had some misunderstanding of this forum's name hahaha. I just recently linked a post on this forum to a friend and he first thought the site was dedicated to the movies because of the word "twilight" being in there and many months ago a girl in my uni class thought I liked Twilight cos of the banner at the top when she saw me browsing this forum on the net LOL.

I just wonder if Lynk has been getting lots of hits for the site from people searching the word twilight...only to find it's a video game blog/forum.
You might have to change the name of this site Lynk if more and more people end up thinking this is a twilight fan site.

The name "Twilight Lynk" was coined a long time ago. A friend of mine, some of you may remember him, he was the moderator of C3F back in the ye olden days before Blue, and you darky, took over. On msn, he always had his name set to "Deadnight Warrior" so as a joke I set my name to "Twilight Lynk" just for fun.

Later on the name for Zelda: Twilight Princess was revealed and it was like "oh, look, it has even more meaning" so I ended up using that for the title of this site.

Now, when I did choose the title for the site, I had no idea what the fuck "Twilight" was and never even heard of it until a few months after I opened the site. A few folks over at LucasForums were talking about it and saying how much they hated it. Even then, it took me a very long time to learn what the hell they were talking about because I wasn't interested enough to learn about it.

I only just found out what Twilight was after the first movie came out and yes, I hate it. I hate the books, the movies and the fans as well. Harry Potter was respectable in some ways even though I'm not a fan of that either, but Twilight just seems insulting in so many ways.

As for people mistaking this site for Twilight... in the past there were a few hits for twilight specific keyword searches, but that's since dropped off to 0% and now we're getting a lot of video game and anime related searches for the most part... oh and the strange searches I post up in the weird stuff thread every so often XD

I have actually thought about changing the site name though to just "Lynk Former" or "<insert clever thingy here> Lynk" but I feel I should hold my ground and try to ride it out... after all, the Twilight series is just a fad and there'll be some other bullshit to replace it a few years from now.

that harsh, remember that i'm a nursing student and most of my classmates are girls if i said anything bad about that book or the movie God knows what would happen to me. they are totally crazy about that edward dude. I dare not to speak my mind about "The Book" and "The Movie" when i'm on the classroom. but fear not, my sentiment are shared by most of the boys (here's the count excluding the gays there are about 15 of us, and our class is composed of 48 students) in the class well gays are not counted.

I believe he might have been gone by the time I joined. I believe Rach was the only other moderator there when I joined. I believe in 2003. It's been quite some time since then.
