What do I want from my Pokeymanz?

Making the process of transferring your pokémon from one game to another easier. Fuck this trading 6 pokémon at a time with lengthy animations bullshit, let me transfer boxes... hell my entire PC of pokémon to my new game in one go. I'm sure Bill could manage to update his system to allow that. (if you don't know the 'Bill' I'm referring to, GTFO [or tits])

Oh even more important than the above, how about MULTIPLE FUCKING SAVE SLOTS Nintendo? This one is personal since my SoulSilver save file got corrupted, which means I lost not only all my newly caught SS pokés, but also all the pokémon from my previous games that I spent forever transferring because I can only trade 6 at a fucking time. I know Nintendo's reasoning for not allowing multiple save slots rests largely in the fact that it would essentially allow you to have clones of your pokémon, but that doesn't excuse them for not having a hidden save file back-up in the event that the main save file is somehow corrupted. So fuck you for that Nintendo.

Hmm what other small things do I wish the 5th gen would have...

-fully 3D world - from the screenies they've released it still looks like a blend of 3D polygonal objects and 2D sprites, but it's yet to be seen if it will still be "tiled" (will we be able to walk diagonally?)

-customizable trainer, so far our options are limited to boy/girl, we can't even pick skin color, even the most basic of customization would be nice...

-Non Grass/Fire/Water starters, how about something new for once?

-Ice/Dragon dual type?

-Pinsir/Lapras/Tauros/Heracross/Skarmory... these are all pokémon that need another (pre)evolution form.

-a story... yeah

I'm sure there's more...

Actually the whole customisable trainer thing is a big one I forgot to mention. I liked how Pokémon Battle Revolution (or at least the versions outside of Japan) allowed you to customise your character from clothing down to the skin colour. It would be nice to be able to do that for the main series games too and any future Pokémon games. In fact, it should be a standard by now and I do think it's silly for a series that's extremely customisable in some ways to be so restrictive in other ways.

How about putting a stop to having to buy/play the spin-off games just to complete the Pokedex

Looking at you Pokemon Ranger

That's what friends/people online are for. You could've just bought one copy of HeartGold or SoulSilver and then gotten help from people on this very forum to fill up the pokedex.

Right now I'm extremely close to completing my pokedex in SoulSilver with help from mav alone.

I didn't buy both HeartGold and SoulSilver for myself. I haven't seen my copy of HeartGold since I bought it.

I am talking about the fact you need one of the Pokemon Ranger games to get Manaphy and by extension Phione

And my point still stands that you can easily get Manaphy and Phione and any other Pokemon that are difficult to get... even Arcues, through the folks from this forum.

We're all happy to help out our bro's.

To Nintendo's credit, it is a lot easier now to Catch Em All now that they distribute most of the legendaries via WiFi Mystery Gift, just takes a while since they only do like 1 a month. GTS helps with the pokédex too.

Yeah, that's one of the best things about the Gen IV games, the whole online system that they've introduced is awesome... though it'd be cool if they added a system where everyone who was on your pal pad and had online enabled on their game would appear in your game, running around the map just like you are... of course, to prevent crowding the players being displayed on your game would be "ghosted so you'd be able to walk over each others sprites without blocking each others path.

I pretty much agree with everything Mav said. My number one want is to have customizable trainer sprites/models, but from the looks of things, that is not going to happen. In addition I just want something that isn't cookie cutter'd from the other games into a new region. I am getting a little tired of the same formula over and over.

Ah, the good thing about Pokemon Stadium when it was out for the N64, snap on that cart in the back of your controller, insert your classic Pokemon game, and move them all to the N64.

That was convenience.

Yeah, Stadium and Stadium 2 were the best one stop shops when it came to organising your Pokemon. I can't understand how they could get things so wrong after the N64 games. I mean, even Pokemon Snap rocks a billion times compared to the later generation Pokemon home console games.

So the featured box art pokemon have been revealed...

Pokemon White/Black confirmed for US, Spring 2011 - Destructoid

The black one looks like a mewtwo with wings and other stuff attached to it.

I don't think it looks that much like Mewtwo aside from having a Humanoid form, also we can't really tell how large these Pokemon are, at first I thought they would be huge (like Dialga / Palkia size) but I dunno.

Don't really care for the look of the white one though.

I wonder what these pokemon will represent, I mean each generation seems to get more ridiculous with what the legendary pokemon represent. Diamond and Pearl had time, space and subspace as well as the creator itself...

the black one looks like it would rape you if you threw a pokeball at it... and then tentacle grape your mom just to rub it in.
