Some people simply finish the story/campaign part of a game, others go on to play the extra/multiplayer elements. Others like to finish the game 100% and check every box... then there are those who do that but then go the extra mile by going out of their way to perform tasks laid out by the developer to acquire certain achievements/trophies... are you that kind of person who will go that far?...

Yes, I'm quite the achievement whore : D I think It's a weird aspect of vidya evolution...the whole thing has exploded - every game seems to have them now.

yeah i noticed that just about every game has achievements

but I really dont bother with any ones that I play unless I get something out of it.
like in Team Fortress 2 where sure there is a chance to get a random item in play, but normally when you get a milestone achievement (X amount of specific achievements done) you'd also get an item for that one.
so at least getting something there that changes gameplay making it more fun.

If it's a game I really enjoy, I will want to go for some of the more difficult achievements. Not just for the points, but because it gives me something else to do with that game. So overall I would say I like going for achievements in games, but don't care too much about my overall Gamer Score.

I whore some games, others I don't care. I'm kind of like Jeff if it's a game I really like then I'll go for trophies as it extends the 'replayability'

At first I found it a novelty and tried to get the easy ones... but then I ended up getting bored of them. The only game I've gotten 100% achievements for is Dead Space and that's cause I ended up playing the fuck out of that game since it's so awesome.

I love it when you're playing and you randomly get achievements without trying XD

I wanted to vote the one in caps, but that's not really me, so I went to the next one up.

then when something happens to your data like my example with Borderlands on the PS3...

screw those people making me glitch my game and hard to correct it.

Those are the best kind of achievements by far, and I think more developers should try and include those rather than ones where you have to look up how to do it on the achievement list.

Best trophy/achievement I've come across so far was in the Scott Pilgrim game, spoiler for those that don't know Scott Pilgrim...

Defeated the Twins simultaneously!
