....... ........

Wow... The advert had caught my eye and when I found it out it had a special offer with my work discount card. I decided I had to buy it..... I'm so glad I did.... it just soo painful to do this game stealthy, I usually have to go in gun blazing... all those painful

This has high rankings for me... I haven't felt this alive since I played Metal Gear solid. Peoples Thoughts?

Do yourself a Damn favour, Write down all the codes and passwords. It saves time if you die. Any idea on the sad time limit on how long it takes to complete the main story line?

PC version makes keeping track of the codes, etc a lot easier from what I'm told. It is a PC game after all...

Invisible War? People told me not to play that one, and IIRC it is a sequel in the timeline, whereas DX:HR is a prequel to the original, so it isn't necessarily needed? Ionno.

Actually the main platform was console, and Nixxes Software ported the PC version. That said I know what you mean, at its heart its a PC title and I believe should be played on PC. They really did a great job with the PC version and while it is lacking in graphics quality settings (no low/med/high), it has a lot of other PC-specific settings like AA, UI enhanced for PC, etc.

From what I have heard, Invisible War is a departure from the first game and is very dumbed down. Most people don't like it and I don't really plan to ever play it. I do want to go back and finish the first game though.

I flat out loved this game. I really can't recommend it enough. I absolutely love the setting, cyberpunk is one of my favorite things and there are not enough games with that setting and tone. The graphics could look better, it doesn't really look like a 2011 title especially compared to something like Witcher 2. That said the art style is brilliant and makes up for it in my eyes. Don't go in expecting the shooting to be like a real FPS, because it's not, but the only times I ever shot my guns were in boss fights, aside from the stun gun (and a few other times that didn't involve shooting people). The boss fights are really where this game disappoints and they should have either been done differently or just not included at all. They weren't too difficult though so for me it was a minor frustration at an otherwise amazing experience.

I played the first game, I love it. I played the second one, and I really didn't like it, they dumbed it down really hard. For example, in the first game you had lots of choices for customize your character, skills and augmentations, in IW you only have augmentation, and fewer. The UI was also simplified a lot, DX:IW felt more like something you would play in a console.

I admit I suspected, they always a betrayal in this type of game, least not forget the single player plot of MW2.

I just Darrows betrayal was the one.... I just never expected her after finishing the main plot line...
