I know some people don't like or can't pick their top games but I like counting down, so post your personal top 10 games of all time.

1. Knights of the Old Republic
2. World of Warcraft
3. Baldur's Gate
4. Resident Evil 4
5. Castlevania Symphony of the Night
6. Myst III Exile
7. Neverwinter Nights 2
8. Pokemon Blue Version
9. Starcraft
10. TIE Fighter

I can probably think of a ton more that deserve to be on there but I like to include games from several different platforms that I have owned.

I have a very long list of favourite games but really can't give you a top 10. It just wouldn't be right.

You guys are just lazy

edit: probably, but I put a lot more hours into blue than I have to any other game in the series, when I originally played silver it was kind of at the edge of when I stopped being interested in Pokemon.

You're a lot more confident about yourself then I am, that's for sure lol. I'd want to list basically EVERYTHING and in alphabetical order because it's the most neutral way I can think of listing them.

Believe me, I really wanted to list every single one too. XD

Of course, I think the reason I was able to make a clear list after a while had to do with my upbringing.

You see, I pretty much grew up a Sega Fanboy, and the Sega Genesis was the system of choice for me as a kid. So naturally, I felt the strongest feelings towards games from my years playing the Genesis (and yes, all of those games have aged quite well for me). I also really like the Sega CD and Sega Saturn on that note, they had some really great games that made an impact on me.

I do love Nintendo a lot too, just for the record.

In case anyone's curious, here's a list of consoles I own to give an idea of how many different games I've played:

FC Twin Pro (plays NES and SNES games)
Sega Genesis with a Sega CD and Sega 32X latched on
Sega Saturn
Sega Dreamcast
Playstation 1 and 2
Xbox and Xbox 360
Nintendo Gamecube
Panasonic 3DO
Atari Jaguar
Nintendo DS
Sony PSP

and obviously my PC, in which I need to buy a new one soon enough.

And yes, instead of doing what most normal guys do (like, say, go to the club to hit on some chicks), I'm just a dude who likes to play some video games and watch some anime.

Metroid Prime
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2
Final Fantasy III
Ultima IV
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Portal
Resident Evil 4
Super Mario Galaxy
Bubble Bobble
Carmageddon

Other than Metroid Prime being listed first since it's probably my favorite game, the list isn't particularly ordered.

Ever since 1987--when I played the original Metroid--I'd wanted a 3D Metroid game, and I finally got it when Prime came out. Until then, Super Metroid was by far my favorite game, but Prime brought me everything I wanted and much, much more. (the cutscene in Phendrana where Ridley's shadow flies overhead as you emerge from acquiring the Boost Ball? Fucking priceless.) Thus, Super Metroid was supplanted. I still love the game, and it's my favorite SNES title by far, but after the MP trilogy, it feels like playing a handheld Metroid game...not that that's necessarily a bad thing, of course. Not to mention that for what it is, Super Metroid is a damned near perfect game, if not one of the best-made games ever to be released.

I feel Super Metroid and Metroid Prime are equally good for different reasons. Though by the time I got to Metroid Prime, I had already seen all the cinematic stuff and other stuff in many other games.

One thing I really loved about Metroid Prime, at least the first one, was the way they told the story. It was in raw data form by scanning objects. With the sequels they went more cinematic until Corruption tried to be too much like Halo which was yuck.

I'll go ahead and commit to some games...

1. Chrono Trigger - SNES (You all fail for not mentioning this game)

2. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - PS2

3. Final Fantasy 7 - PSX (Yes I'm one of "them" although I never played this game until this past summer)

4. Goldeneye 007 - N64 (ah the countless summer nights with friends on "paintball mode")

5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time - SNES (my cousin and I played this on every visit)

6. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - SNES

7. Super Mario World - SNES

8. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES - PS2 (More people need to play these games)

9. TIE Fighter - PC

10. Final Fantasy Tactics - PSX/PSP (War of the Lions)
