EGM is saying that LucasArts has handed over the Rogue Squadron series to a new developer and that that developer will be creating a Rogue Squadron game for Wii which is an updated version of the Rogue Squadron Trilogy (Rogue Squadron on the Nintendo 64 as well as Rogue Squadron 2 Rogue Leader and Rogue Squadron 3 Rebel Strike for the GameCube) with enhanced visuals and Wii controls.

I hope this is VERY true. I'm a big fan of this series and it's what got me to be a member of LucasForums for MANY years... XD

That might be an interesting game for the Wii Controlling a craft with a Wii-mote could be fun and work well XD
I havn't seen any games like that so far and Lynk said the only ones so far have been air flight games and not space flight.

I played the Rogue Squadron games for my N64 back in the day, I'd be easily excited for a RS game for the Wii. Though, I'm still waiting for a X-Wing or TIE Fighter sequel, oh how I long for that day.

Another good thing to come out of Rogue Squadron was Battle for Naboo... x.x I wish they'd release these games on Wii VC. I miss them quite a bit.

I haven't seen the Wii VC for a while now... need to get my Wii back from my friend give the poor console a second chance... it was cool at first but the quirky Wii-mote appeal faded quickly for me. Anyways, Battle for Naboo was also quite enjoyable nothing like blasting "clankers"...

Quirky Wii-mote controls depend on how well the specific developer is able to understand how to use the technology. Right now there are a few who still don't get it, but once you discover the developers who do, the games on it make you feel as if you can't go back to the old ways.

An example I keep using is Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. There is no way you can go back to the old controls after playing it with the Wiimote+Nunchuk.

I also happen to find a lot of games on the PS3 and 360 annoying because they don't have Wii controls which would feel perfect with them lol.

I wouldn't really know about RE. I've not played an RE game never really was interested in it, but I am interested in this new Wii Motion Plus thing. As for Wii controls for PS3 and 360 games, there are third party manufacturers that have made Wii-mote type controllers for the systems, but obviously games implementing it would be based on the acceptance rate of the peripherals by consumers and such.

Resident Evil 4 has a different gameplay style compared to the other RE games though

Yeah, but that's the special gameplay, not the normal gameplay.

Think, Chim, think.

That other part was just a bit boring to me because it seemed that the player was doing it slowly XD

You would probibly kill those enemies faster and it might be more fun to watch your gameplay XD
Edit: When i play game i think i tend explore all around and search etc XD Like when i played Twilight Princess i think i talked to most of the NPCs each time something in the story changed so i didnt miss anything XD

It's not about killing them fast, it's about killing them without using up your ammunition. Plus, I would've used the Red9, not the standard handgun.
