Do not buy Australian

According to our records, it’s been 6 months since I did a little bitching about Australia and all of the bullshit that’s going on with the country at the moment that most people don’t seem to be aware of in their daily lives… not that me bitching about it in the first place will turn any heads, but whatever…

In previous rants, I’ve discussed the lack of an R18+ rating for video games and also censorship in relation to the evil child porn filled internet… one look will turn you into a paedophile, so beware. I think out of the two, it’s probably better to play video games and become a mindless mass murderer than the creepy alternative. It’s almost as if the Australian government has become like a prison security force and is governing a nation of convicts… oh wait.

Of course, the whole issue of censorship is just one of the problems with Australia…

Video games are expensive… more so in Australia

Game Spotlight: No More Heroes + No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

Twilight Lynk has reached its second anniversary, so I thought I would write an entry about the very game and its unexpected sequel that represents the spirit of video games and gamers everywhere… though only a certain niche group would probably agree with that assessment.

I’ve been trying to decide how I should be going about the Game Spotlight for these two games. They’ve been created by a developer that has released an odd array of games, led by a man who is brilliant yet ignored by most, released on a console many gamers don’t really take seriously.

When you see your brother in hell, tell him he’s still a douche!

This isn’t a battle anymore; it’s a motherfucking war!

For some odd reason, I completely skipped out on the fact that Twilight Lynk hit its first anniversary a year back… but not this time.

Once a webmaster of an anime site; the bodies of anime babes littered my mind… Much has changed since then; anime no longer has any value for me and the true video gamer that I’ve always been has taken over once again. This was my chance to engage in a web site about something that I truly loved, something I could share with others… but everything I wrote about in my first entry on this site hasn’t gone according to plan. While this site has gotten some nice traffic coming in, it seems that the community interactions I talked about long ago aren’t as active and lively as I thought they would be. Here, there are few who post and many who lurk. And through this all, one truth is constant: I’ll still post blog entries even if people don’t comment on them. I won’t walk away from it, I’ll keep posting and say what I have to say… This is MY “Desperate Struggle”…

Hold it you video game loving bastards! Before we start our desperate struggling, you should drop a nice save…

/ end introduction with No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle references thrown in just for fun.

Downward fucking dog!

The ultimate power of art style and direction

In my continuing effort to post more articles per month, here is my 6th article… not including that one I posted on SMS before… oh and don’t worry, I’ll give SMS a proper announcement on the anniversary post which will most likely be the next entry.

It was quite awhile ago now, but when the first concept art for “Epic Mickey” was revealed, a lot of people got VERY excited. And how could they not? It wasn’t like anything you would associate with Mickey Mouse… at least not the Mickey we know these days. It was dark, foreboding and very well presented. There were those who believed this art style would go far… until they saw the screenshots which weren’t quite as amazing as the concept art…

Of course, we can’t really talk more about a game that hasn’t even come out yet, so onto the games that have already been released…

I see what you did there…

Games that should be: Star Wolf

This is the first in the series of “Games that should be” articles, similar to the Game Spotlight articles but focused on games that don’t actually exist… BUT SHOULD!

Around the net, everyone seems to crave another Star Fox game. Well, the truth is, Star Fox sucks… and Star Fox has been sucking for quite a long time, though to be honest I did find Assault to be pretty entertaining in parts… even so, there’s a very good reason why we haven’t seen Star Fox on Wii so far and it’s because Nintendo doesn’t know what they want to do with the series because it just keeps on sucking. I’m sure another game in the series will be revealed eventu– “Can’t let you do that, Star Fox!”

What I’d like to see is Wolf O’Donnell and his crew tear up the screen in their Wolfen in a different kind of adventure.

Suddenly the Star Wolf theme begins to play in your head!
