Educational games?! Why would I want to play any of that kind of jazz?
Oh hey, see I’ve managed to post up at least one entry this month despite being piled under all of these assignments.

Some of you may or may not know, but I’m at university doing an Education course to become a teacher, so to that end we get sent out to schools to observe how things are done in the first year and get more practical experience in the years following. This year, I have discovered that many schools in Australia use, what looks to be an educational version of Second Life called “Quest Atlantis“…
Game Spotlight: Xenoblade Chronicles
Ha ha, I would have posted this entry up much earlier but truth be told I was too busy actually playing the game to spend time writing about it. Even so, here it is, my thoughts on what has to be one of the best games released this generation… one that North America is missing out on!

Xenoblade, also known as Xenoblade Chronicles in Europe and Australia, formerly known as Monado: Beginning of the World, is a game that any self-respecting gamer who owns a Wii must experience. Sure, Monolith Soft’s last game, Disaster: Day of Crisis, was so terrible that it was good in a comedic sense, but this game brings them back to their former glory they once had with Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos.
Born in a world of strife! …Against the odds! We choose to… FIGHT!
The Old Republic is coming…
I’ll be posting up a Game Spotlight for Xenoblade Chronicles before the end of the month but in the meantime…

It has been revealed that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be released on the 20th of December in North America and 22nd of December in Europe. I’ve already pre-ordered my copy of the Collector’s Edition version of TOR so I’m all set and really can’t wait to sink my teeth into my first proper MMO experience. Seeing as this is such a special occasion for me for many reasons, I was thinking and came up with a nice idea…
The games you can’t leave behind…
Wow, I’ve REALLY been neglecting this place… well, at the very least I’ll try to get one entry in per month but it’s been pretty hard to do anything lately with uni and all…

A couple of months back just before I started my second semester of uni for the year, instead of whittling down the huge catalogue of new unplayed games I have on my list, I ended up going back and playing two games I’ve recorded hundreds of hours on already… Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
PSN down? Everyone jump ship and buy a 360!
Now, this is the story all about how my nephew’s life got flipped-turned upside down, and I’d like to take a minute just sit right there, I’ll tell you how he sold his PS3 and became the prince of a console called Xbox 360.

During the whole PSN fiasco I joked about how my nephew (12 years old.. or is he 13 now? Meh, I never bothered to keep track) who is a die-hard Call of Duty fan and PlayStation 3 owner, would go through terrible withdrawal symptoms from not being able to play CoD online and would probably sell his PS3 for a 360… turns out that’s exactly what he did!
