It’s starting to Steam up in here…
For some reason I’m reminded of the first time I played Metroid Prime and I entered that corridor full of pipes that were spraying steam everywhere… and then when I walked through the steam, Samus’ visor fogged up and I was like “I’m trippin’ balls man”…

Twilight Lynk now has its own group on Steam Community… which you’d think would’ve happened sooner but I’ve only now just started a Steam account and bought a few games on there.
The group is currently set to private since this is a pretty small community, but if you add me to your friends list I can send you an invite right away.
There is hope yet for an R18+ rating down here in Australia!
Here’s a quick entry for you guys just to update you on the current situation down on the other side of the planet.

You guys have been following this for awhile now thanks to these previous entries:
I fucking hate this country!
I fucking hate this country! Part 2
I… This country confuses me! (IFHTC! Part 3)
But it looks like there is still some hope left in this country…
Caption Corner 2: Valkyria Chronicles
Welcome to the second Caption Corner on Twilight Lynk.
This next scene comes from Valkyria Chronicles on the PlayStation 3. From left to right we have Rosie, Welkin, Alicia and Isara. This one’s gonna be tough for some of you but that’s why I chose it… I’m sure some of you can figure out what to do with such an accusatory look coming from Rosie.

Game Spotlight: Disney Epic Mickey
This is one of those few moments when Australia actually gets something before the rest of the world, so I’m going to take full advantage of it and bring you this game spotlight so I can try and be one of the first out of the gate among the big game site reviews.

Disney games haven’t been awesome for a very long time, at least not since the days of the SNES with The Lion King and Aladdin… and in turn, Disney itself has changed much and has lost a lot of its awesomeness over the years. The kind of awesomeness I’m talking about is the type that gave birth to the original design of Mickey Mouse which is far superior to his current form, and also the type that spawned things like Fantasia (which is being released on Blu-ray soon!).
Epic Mickey takes us all back to those days before Mickey Mouse was corrupted and also takes you through Disney’s lost history in what is a very interesting game for so many reasons.
Animation Spotlight: Valkyria Chronicles
Time for another Animation Spotlight, and like the previous one, I’ll be focusing on another animation that’s related to a game.

Valkyria Chronicles, or Senjou no Valkyria (Battlefield Valkyria) if you prefer, is one of my favourite new game series of this generation and has already spawned sequel games as well as two manga and an anime TV series of the same name. I absolutely loved the first game and was naturally excited when they announced the anime quite awhile back… though, to be honest when I started watching the anime when it was initially being released, I kind of gave up on it and stopped just before the half way mark.
But, I did give the Valkyria Chronicles anime another chance and have finally watched the entire series…
