By now, you’ve all read my scathing Game Spotlight of Metroid: Other M… the first game I’ve ever actually HATED in my entire life. The game that has damaged my high regard of the Metroid series forever and there’s really no going back. Metroid used to be one of my favourite series of all time but now…

…now all I have are the memories of better days. In fact, some of them can be found on the Internet itself! I did a little digging around the forum of my old website, The Anime Crisis Center, and discovered some very interesting posts about how I felt about Metroid all those years ago. So, come back with me in time and let’s take a look at those ye olden posts…

The wait is finally over and I’ve gotten my hands on the next instalment of my favourite video game series… but is this new Metroid going to stand up against the likes of Super Metroid and Metroid Prime? If you’ve been catching up on the news surrounding this game in the last few days, you’d have seen that there is a great divide of opinion… some love it while others are very disappointed.

Metroid: Other M is a huge leap in a new direction for the Metroid series… in comparison, the first-person perspective and slightly more action orientated tone that the Metroid Prime trilogy took was only a small step. Prime still carried a lot of the very traditional elements that make Metroid what it is and most people found this to be a pretty decent balance of new and old working together. Other M is likely to scare a lot of people with its new additions and gameplay changes… this is NOT your traditional Metroid and that’s basically the whole point of its existence.

E3 2010 has come and gone, as a result we’ve been buried in a tonne of awesome things to look forward to in the future. Be warned, this will be an epicly long post the likes of which have not been seen on Twilight Lynk before…

As you can probably tell from the above image… Nintendo continues to laugh at the measure of their own success and their ability to print more and more money. It’s an unstoppable force unlike any we’ve ever seen and will one day consume the entire universe. Who will stop them? How can they be stopped? This is madness!

Of course, there were a lot of other great things being shown at E3 and this entry will go through everything that I have absorbed for the past few days…
