It’s almost 2012 which means another year of gaming has gone by all too quickly.
I may not have bought as many games this year as the last and there are plenty of games released this year that I REALLY need to get… but it’s been a pretty good year.

We’re almost into 2011, so it’s time to post up the final entry of 2010 and have a bit of a moment reflecting on this years video games and what we all got up to.
Last year felt like a pretty busy year for me in terms of video games… I feel like I bought and played more video games than I ever had before… but this year was different for me… When 2009 had ended and I had written up my previous entry, Vidya of 2009, I felt that it was definitely one of the greatest years of video gaming for me since I had bought more games that year than any other year before it… and a lot of them were pretty damn good. At the beginning and most of the way through 2010, I felt that it wasn’t as good a year as the last and that the games weren’t quite as good.
It’s been a really interesting year for me, partly because this year in 2009, I have bought more video game than I have for the previous 3 years combined *thinks* I’m pretty sure, that’s just an estimate, but it sounds about right. Either way, a lot of games were bought and played and now that it’s extremely close to 2010, it’s time to have a look back at the year that was.

2009 has been an awesome year for me. Back in 2008 I managed to get a PS3 for free and also bought a 360 elite during end of 2008. This meant that going into 2009 I had access to a DS, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 (if you only count the current generation line-up). This meant that I had a lot of opportunity to play a hell of a lot of different kinds of video games.
Another year and another selection of great games have been released. Some will fade into a distant memory while others will live on as legends in years to come… or something. At the end of every year I’ll be posting one of these “Vidya of…” entries. However, unlike a lot of the end of year round ups on other sites, with Twilight Lynk it will be different…

Instead of telling you what has gone on throughout the year, I’m more interested in how people in the community have spent their time gaming and what they thought of 2008 through their own experiences.
